What's your cell phone's ringtone? What made you pick it?
It's always on silent + vibrate. I work in an open plan office and the sound of various ringtones all day is annoying.
If you could get someone in your life to start a blog, who would it be and why?
I always wanted Melissa to start one and since she moved to London, she has. Dad should resurrect his because it was good! I've always thought that Mum would write interesting things, too.
What or who is your favorite product mascot? Why?
When I read this question, I had an instant "Argh! Bibendum, the Michelin Man!" reaction from reading Pattern Recognition a few too many times.
I quite like Mario and Hello Kitty, but they're really the products themselves more than the mascot.
What about Frank the LJ goat? He's alright by me.
If you could open any sort of restaurant, what would it be like?

If you could open any sort of restaurant, what would it be like?
This is the kind of place I'd like to exist. Actually opening one is beyond me.
- It would only serve all kinds of yummy vegan food from the crazy healthy raw stuff through to evil deep fried stuff and also complicated desserts that I can never be bothered making
- Serves excellent coffee with your choice of soy milk, rice milk or whatever other fake-milk is available
- Has a ridiculously large selection of tea
- Makes its own juice
- Open from early in the morning, to late at night
- Late, you can get tasty bar snacks to accompany the huge variety of (vegan!) alcoholic beverages
- Has a really lovely spacious outdoor courtyard with trees and lots of overgrown plants and comfy seats
- A lot of different seating inside - tables for dining, comfy booths, bar seating, interesting nooks and different rooms
- Situated, at the longest, 5 minutes walk from my current abode and work
So will anyone open this in Auckland for me? Cheers.

My first reaction was, "LANGUAGES! Yes, definitely all the languages!"
Then I thought, "Ooooh pretty music, though. That would be fun."
Then I decided that I didn't want to think about it anymore.
Edit: I have totally misinterpreted this question. I read it as: You can either speak every language or play every instrument - choose!
What was your favorite candy when you were a kid? How does that compare to now?
My nanna would occasionally give me dark chocolate with peppermint creme filling. SO GOOD. It is definitely still a favourite flavour. I love dark chocolate.
What was the highlight of this past weekend?
Getting to see Penny (and Berticus!) and seeing The Science of Sleep with Thomas and then having drinks and talks with him.
